Goals
Kalene Mission Hospital was established by missionaries from the Christian Brethren movement, and works in partnership with CMML (Christian Missions in Many Lands) in Zambia.

While the main concern of Jesus was the spiritual salvation of all people, this was combined with compassion when faced with illness and physical suffering. In Matthew 14 v 13 we are told that when Jesus saw the crowd he had compassion on them and healed their sick. Likewise we seek to practically demonstrate God’s love while attending to the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of patients.
In this context the purpose of Kalene Mission Hospital is to provide health care for the population served by the Hospital, and a forum to communicate the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, in a manner that glorifies God. Within the constraints of available resources, we strive to maintain the highest standards of medical care and a supportive Christian atmosphere.
