Getting Here

Kalene is situated in the remote North Western corner of Zambia, approximately 1,000km from Lusaka. (See the Google Map). The two main options for getting here are by air or by road.

Travelling by road from Lusaka is a two day journey. From Lusaka to the copper belt (Ndola-Kitwe-Chingola area) the road is in good condition. The second days journey is onto Solwezi (the last town in the copper belt), followed by a 240km journey to Mwinilunga and then a further 80km to Kalene. Although the road is sealed up to Mwinilunga there are many pot holes to negotiate. The last 80km is not sealed.
